I was with my girlfriend, Amelia, she was flying us in a small cartoonish airplane similar to the one Wallace and Gromit fly in. We were flying low over a gravel path in a crowded public park. It seemed like a 4th of July or summer BBQ event. There were picnic blankets, folded chairs scattered across the lawn, and a field with an ultimate frisbee game being played. There are people walking around the path slowly and people laying down on the path. Amelia is driving the plane low along the gravel and she has to slow down and swerve out of the way of clueless pedestrians. We nearly crashed into a man and he cussed out Amelia. I was furious and yelled gibberish at him. After flying a bit longer, I regretted that I didn’t say a more clever insult to the man we almost hit. As we continued down the path, we still were swerving out of the way of people. We lost control and started drifting up and right towards a tree off the path. We struck the tree and came plummeting down backwards. Amelia didn’t have a helmet so I wrapped my arms around her to protect her head and neck. The plane landed hard into the grass. Amelia was very hurt and I frantically asked if she was okay, but she could only let out quiet groans. I held her in my arms. Evan F. passed by and saw us, he asked if I was okay. I shouted back at him with tears rolling down my face “does it look like I am okay!??”. I looked over to the frisbee field and I saw Patrick V. filming an instagram reel doing a challenge where he changes into a different jersey every time he gets a layout block until he gets enough that he is allowed to leave the frisbee tournament. The paramedics came and carted Amelia away. After she was taken away I watched frisbee videos on my phone. I finally got a text from her at the hospital and I was relieved that she was feeling better. She texted me “The paramedics took me away and put me on a stretcher" then she texted "I woke up with that presidential drip on 😈😈👑🚨🏅‼️”. After the silly message I knew Amelia was going to be okay. I got up and asked the paramedics if I looked okay. They didn’t care about me and gave me a look as if I should already know that I’ll be fine. I did a squat to see how I felt and my leg gave out and cramped. I was definitely somewhat injured, but they didn’t do anything to help me.
